Also had to work up there on Friday. Quite stressful, though again I have to keep reminding myself I'm not a nurse and I have my health. As the TV aerial in Blackpool went kaput in the winds, we joined a video rental storer up there and saw The Weight of Water(Sean Penn film that sank without trace last year), Camp, Stepford Wives and 24 Hour Party People(again). Back in Cosmopolitan London today, we saw 21 Grams, Bad Education and Super Size Me - much better quality than last week's Around the World In 80 Days(Jackie Chan (and Steve Coogan)version! - not recommended). posted by Darren | 9:36 PM Saturday, January 08, 2005 2am I got home this morning. 2am. From work. A 15 hour day. I'm not a nurse. posted by Darren | 7:32 PM Thursday, January 06, 2005 My Road Trips begin again tomorrow, with a trip to Watford. A nice close one as the crow flies, but not so close if the M25, M1 or A406 are snarled. Pick a route, any route. Pot luck. posted by Darren | 8:56 PM Wednesday, January 05, 2005 I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Christmas was hectic, with our journey north and seeing both sets of parents. To add to this hectic-ness (if that be a word), my grandmother broke her hip on Christmas Day. And it wasn't even because someone had pushed her over. She is currently recuperating in the local hospital, neccessitating further trips to the north this month. New Year was a quiet one at home. Chinese Food and Tom stopping by, inebriated, before his night at the local brothel. He is now flying back to Moscow. And Peace descends upon the world and E17. Today I have had a bowl of cornflakes and a further coffee. I made this decision after seeing how fat I am and after throwing up a little in my mouth in bed this morning, after just two sips of coffee. I think that this is the definitive sign that I : a) have consumption b) I have eaten far too much in the last two weeks and I am blocked up to my oesophagous. posted by Darren | 4:06 PM |
